One primary key ingredient to foster a healthy learning environment is a principal cultivating trust with his or her teachers. Vibrant, well-performing schools have an underlying trust theme that permeates the culture of the school where all stakeholders feel included (Tschannen-Moran & Gareis, 2015). When teachers have an unwavering trust in their principal, barriers are broken, and deeper relationships can be explored (Tschannen-Moran & Hoy, 2001). In addition, a new level of confidence in the principal is created when the principal acts in the best interest of the teachers (Tschannen-Moran & Hoy, 2001). School principals have an indirect impact on student achievement by fostering positive relationships with teachers. Furthermore, working with diverse communities, aspiring leaders can learn how to lead in authenticity to connect with all cultures.
